Battle of the Bands

You have to hand it to Planet Moon Studios: instead of trying to compete directly with the insanely popular Rock Band and Guitar Hero franchises, they wisely chose to side-step the competition by offering up a rhythm game experience that's unique and...

Samsung i450

Sporting a touch-sensitive music scroll wheel, Samsung's "Music Edition" i450 is the manufacturer's first mobile phone released in Australia to run the Symbian operating system. This dual slider also features HSDPA connectivity, a 2-megapixel camera ...

The World Ends With You

Set in the trendy Shibuya district of Tokyo, The World Ends With You is as frenetic and fast-paced as the city that it takes place in.

TDK EB-300

Sporting a basic in-ear headphone design, the TDK EB-300s are a dirt-cheap alternative to your default MP3 player headphones. While their sound quality is far from stellar, considering the cost it is perfectly acceptable. They should suit users looki...

Sagem my511X

The my511X is Sagem's latest mobile phone, with standard features, but nothing outstanding for the retail price. Just 10mm thick, the phone is quite small and easily fits in tight pockets. However, the my511X has some major design and interface issue...

Fujitsu LifeBook P1620

Unless your name is Mini Me, this ultra-portable, tablet-convertible notebook might be a tad inconvenient to use. Its keys are approximately 1.4cm wide and the entire keyboard is 22.5cm wide, so it's almost impossible to type more than a few words at...

Cygnett GrooveAtomic

Claiming to "bring energy and power to every track on your playlist", Cygnett's GrooveAtomic ear buds are a compact, stylish and lightweight set of headphones. Although they provide powerful and deep bass, this comes at the cost of clarity and crispn...

Cygnett GrooveStyle

Cygnett's latest in-ear headphones, the GrooveStyle, definitely live up to the second part of their name. Unfortunately, the "groove" is let down by a lack of adequate bass response.

D-Link 3G Mobile Router (DIR-451)

When an Internet connection has to be set-up and shared in a location without any Internet infrastructure, D-Link's DIR-451 will come in handy. It's a 3G router that can distribute a 3G signal over its four-port 10/100 Ethernet switch or 802.11g wire...

Pentax K200D

These days, users are spoiled for choice in the entry-level SLR space. Whether you're a less experienced photographer looking to make the jump from your compact camera, or an experienced amateur who wants an upgrade, there are a slew of models out th...

Sony Ericsson K660i

A low- to mid-range handset clearly aimed at younger buyers, Sony Ericsson's K660i is a solid but far from outstanding mobile phone. Its Web browsing features and HSDPA network speeds are nice, but this isn't really a handset you'd expect to use for ...

Excel gPC

The Excel gPC, distributed by Protac, isn't an ordinary PC. From the outside it looks like a typical mini-tower-based PC, but its odd-looking 16in widescreen LCD monitor is the first clue that you're getting something different.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
