In Pictures: unboxing LG's IPS7 monitor

We see what you get when you buy LG's new super-slim, super-slick monitor

  • LG's been pushing its Cinema 3D TVs -- like the LM6410, the LM7600, and the LM9600 -- hard over the last few months, but we haven't seen as much of a push with its IPS computer monitors. The IPS277L is the 27-inch version of the IPS7 series, which also includes the 23-inch IPS237L.

  • The IPS277L's box is sturdy and the important components inside are well-protected by a honeycomb of polystyrene.

  • This is everything you get inside the LG IPS277L's box. There's the monitor itself, then (from 12 o'clock clockwise) a manual and software CD, VGA cable, power cable, power brick, HDMI to MHL cable, stand arm, and stand.

  • A closer look at the assembled stand.

  • A closer look at the bundled cables.

  • The manual and software CD.

  • The front of the LG IPS277L monitor as it comes out of the box. LG includes a Display Quality Assurance Report with the monitor, with reports on colour temperature, colour difference, and gamma.

  • The rear of the LG IPS277L monitor as it comes out of the box.

  • A closer look at the monitor's stand mount and A/V connectors.

  • The monitor completely assembled. The stand attaches from the base to the display panel with two bundled Philips screws.

  • The LG IPS277L plugged in and powered on.
