We look at the Samsung Galaxy Note

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note's]] screen size might stop it from being pocket-friendly but its thin design certainly doesn't.

  • Samsung's getting a lot of attention with its recently-announced [[artnid:401249|Galaxy Note smartphone]]. It may seem like a technological throwback — it can use a stylus to input data, and its large screen is reminiscent of an old HP iPAQ — but it might turn out to be the perfect tool for both business and personal use.

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]]'s internals are made up of a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of storage.

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]] also has a front-facing 2 megapixel camera for video calls or checking your hair and makeup.

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]]'s rear side is just as impressive, with an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash. It can also record Full HD 1080p video at 30FPS.

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note's]] party piece is, of course, the 'S-Pen' stylus that works on the touchscreen — hopefully perfect for browsing or signing off on emails.

  • The build quality of the [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]] seems excellent, although we'll wait until we have one in our hands to confirm.

  • Despite all its high-quality internal components the [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]] is a mere 9.7mm thick.

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]] runs standard Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, although it's enhanced with Samsung's TouchWiz 4.0 UI overlay.

  • The [[artnid:401249|Samsung Galaxy Note]] has a huge 5.3in Super AMOLED HD screen, with a 1280x800pixel resolution.
