The latest info on Capcom's hotly anticipated brawler
Earlier today, Capcom released new information about its hotly anticipated fighting game; Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Confirmed characters on the Capcom roster include Chris Redfield (of Resident Evil fame), Mia Fey (from Phoenix Wright), Felicia (Darksiders), Ryu and Gene from God Hand. On the Marvel side, we have Captain America, Wolverine (well duh), Iron Man, Deadpool and the Incredible Hulk. In all, the game will boast roughly 30 characters.
“We are so pleased to be working with Marvel again," said Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Capcom. “Our Capcom development studio is creating the most epic fighting game ever developed and Marvel’s input into that process has been invaluable.” …The most epic fighting game ever developed? Them's fightin' words!

Ryu: the traditionalist's choice.
Darkstalkers' Morrigan also returns (with bigger mammary glands than ever).
We are contractually obliged to show this pic of Morrigan whenever she is mentioned in any context. ([[artnid:336111|See more saucy cosplay pics here. You know you want to.]])
We wonder what would happen if Marvel released a fighting game without Wolverine? The universe would probably implode, we reckon.
Chris Redfield is set to make his fighting debut in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Capcom better put in a [[xref:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Zombies|Marvel Zombie]], or there'll be hell to pay.
God Hand's Gene (left) may be considered an odd choice by some, but at least they're bringing some fresh blood into the franchise.
The Hulk will come in any colour you like. Well, green or red anyway.
'The time is here,
for Iron Man to spread fear", sang Black Sabath. Consider that due warning.
The teaser trailer has some tell-tale silhouettes in the background. The one with the sword is clearly Deadpool, for example.
Could that be Dead Rising's Frank West we spy, second from the left?
The game is being built using Capcom's MT Framework game engine: the same tech Capcom used to create Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2.
The team wants the game to look like a "living comic book," and they're also taking inspiration from Street Fighter IV from an art perspective. (Pictured: Wolverine and Ryu go mano-a-mano.)
Capcom's Seth Killian confirmed that Hyper Combos will make a return. We can also expect to see "plenty of new blood" when it comes to fighter selection.
These stills from the trailer are only work-in-progress mock ups, but they give a good indication of what Marvel vs. Capcom will look like under the MT Framework.
Everyone's favourite sozzled womaniser (AKA Iron Man) gets friendly with Morrigan. The cad.
Signature aerial combos, 3-on-3 Tag Team Fighting and pseudo-3D graphics are just some of the touted features.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is slated for release in Spring 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Stay tuned for our review.
