With this router, you can plug in a USB-based 3G modem (the modem is not built-in) and share its connection over Wi-Fi. It's handy for travelling and as a fallback in case your main Internet connection goes down.

    15-40 per cent off computers, digital cameras, GPS devices and TVs

    Harvey Norman's weekend sale seems too good to pass up. Head into a store and you can get at least 15 per cent off laptops and desktops, up to 25 per cent off digital cameras, 30 per cent off GPS devices and up to 40 per cent off LCD and plasma televisions. That's a good deal by any stretch of the imagination.

    If you're after an awesome gaming laptop, then the ASUS G73J is a great choice. It has an Intel Core i7 720QM CPU, 8GB of RAM, and two 500GB hard drives, not to mention an ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics adapter and a Blu-ray drive. It also looks very impressive and it is well constructed. Its screen is Full HD and measures 17.3in — basically, it's one of the most powerful notebooks you can buy and we think the price is very reasonable.     The WD My Book Elite is an external hard drive with a customisable eInk label. This means that if you have several of the same drives, you no longer have to remember which one contains which data; you can assign one to video, one to music, one to documents and so on!     Sharp's LED-backlit LC40LB700X LCD television has been one of our favourite TVs for some time, thanks to its crisp, good quality panel and high contrast ratio. With an integrated Blu-ray player, this television is great value!

    Samsung's HD Icon is a seriously impressive entertainment smartphone. Capable of recording 720p HD video, the aptly name HD Icon may be a tad larger than most smartphones on the market, but the extra screen real estate is ideal for multimedia content. The screen uses AMOLED technology, meaning it's brighter, sharper and clearer than a regular LCD screen. [[xref:|24|Optus is currently selling the Samsung HD Icon]] for $0 when you sign up to the $59 cap plan over 24 months. This plan includes unlimited SMS and MMS messages, $330 worth of calls to any phone and a further $350 worth of calls to any Optus mobile. For a limited time only, Optus will also waive the first three months access fee ($59), saving you $177!

    Samsung's BD-P1600 does everything you could want a Blu-ray player to do. Great picture quality, plenty of audio decoding support and a speedy interface combine to make it a top-notch choice.
