Official screenshots are released for Sony's upcoming racing simulation game for the PlayStation 3
Sony has given the world the first official glimpse at its hotly anticipated racing simulation game, Gran Turismo 5. The screenshots' release comes only a day after [[Artnid:317070|Turn 10 Studios announced a partnership|V8 Supercars to feature in Forza 3]] that would see V8 Supercars featured in the forthcoming rival game Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360. The new screenshots don't reveal much that gamers haven't either seen in [[Artnid:212862|Gran Turismo 5: Prologue|Review: Gran Turismo 5: Prologue video game]] or in various leaks over the past few years.
Expect the game to hit the PlayStation 3 "soon."

Though the game's details are about as vague as these screenshots, we know that Gran Turismo 5 will feature more than 1000 cars and 80 different race tracks. The game will also feature damage modelling for cars and an online multiplayer mode for up to 16 competitors at a time.
In Gran Turismo 5 you will be able to export replays of your races directly to YouTube, allowing you to show off your cringe-worthy car crashes.
