Navigon enters Australian GPS market

Navigon, one of the world’s leading providers of navigation systems, has launched its first portable navigation systems for the Australian market.

  • Both models also include Road Sense Safety Plus, a comprehensive package of safety and speed information including red light cameras, speed cameras, school zones and bus lanes

  • Both models include Lane Assistant Pro — a feature that guides you into the correct lanes on major roads and intersections.

  • Navigon offers a full two year warranty on all units. The 2210max will retail for $379 while the 2150max will be sold for $479. Both are available at Strathfield Car Radio and Bing Lee stores, with further retailers to be announced.

    Boasting German engineering and advanced map features, Navigon's 2150max and the 2110max are set to compete against units from better-known brands including TomTom, Navman and Garmin.

  • The top of the line 2150max features Bluetooth hands-free calling and text-to-speech technology, while the 2110max does without these two features.
