Pros

  • It has the classic Bomberman game

Cons

  • The mini-games which comprise a good portion of the game aren't that great

Bottom Line

Bomberman Land is basically a PSP version of the classic Bomberman game plus a bunch of random stuff you can take or leave. The trouble is, there are better versions of Bomberman around, so unless you really want to play the mini-games, you're better off sticking with those.

Would you buy this?

Boom goes the dynamite: Bomberman is back on the PSP but is this title the bomb or a dud?

Do not buy Bomberman Land unless you understand what you're getting into. It's a mini-game collection and involves little Bomberman characters running around unlocking new attractions at a theme park. The good news is that you can still play the classic Bomberman game where you run around a level blowing stuff up but the meat of this game is one heck of a meandering story mode that you really need to be in the mood for to enjoy.

The game starts with Bomberman receiving a letter from the director of an amusement park. Apparently something terrible has happened and everyone is suddenly afflicted by amnesia. As the explosives-inclined hero, you'll have to coax them all back into their roles as salespeople or ferry drivers. Your other purpose as "Piece King" is to collect zone pieces in order to rebuild the park. This can be as simple as having a random conversation, or as involved as having to backtrack to revisit areas multiple times. Mostly, though, you receive pieces for clearing the 50 mini-games that round out the package.

The mini-games themselves aren't necessary bad but getting to them is a chore and a half. You also have a sidekick who talks up a storm the entire way, which doesn't help, and you have to suffer through a lot of corny dialogue over the course of the game.

Bomberman Land is basically a PSP version of the classic Bomberman game plus a bunch of random stuff you can take or leave. The trouble is, there are better versions of Bomberman around, so unless you really want to play the mini-games, you're better off sticking with those.

MSI GS65 Stealth Thin

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
