The Creative Freepoint 3500 is the little brother of the 5500 that we reviewed earlier. It provides almost identical functionality with a single minor tweak and sports the same trademark design that brought tears to the eyes of all who saw it.

What was going through the minds of the Creative engineers when they design this is beyond us. There's no way anyone could look at this mouse and think "Yep, that looks good". However the lumpy and just plain unattractive design belies a quite effective, if very rudimentary, product.

The Freepoint 3500 really offers nothing new or exciting, but it performs basic mousing functions with ease. Setup was a breeze, just install the drivers, plug in the receiver and you're off. As with its sister model, we encounter no wireless interference at all. Its performance was always smooth and extremely accurate. It won't win any awards for pinpoint precision, but the optical sensor is more than up to the task of regular desktop computing.

We found the mouse design to be serviceable if not exceptionally comfortable. It has basic grooving along either side, but doesn't live up to the legacy set by the new Logitech or Microsoft products. The key difference between this model and its sister is that the 3500 lacks the two extra internet navigation buttons which will be missed by some, but other's will hardly notice it. It will probably have the biggest impact on gamers, who use those buttons as extra keys. They would be better served buying something like the Logitech G5 for increased accuracy, functionality and controls.

As a desktop mouse the Freepoint 3500 is a reasonable choice. It won't wow you with its features, but it will perform basic functions very well.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
