User Experience Designer

Our client, a leading Government Department, is looking for an experienced User Experience Designer for long-term contract. You are the right candidate if you have the following attributes:

Mandatory/Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive experience in User Experience (UX) design, particularly in large complex digital environments;
  • Strong understanding of how to apply UX design principles and best practices to develop intuitive user experiences;
  • Ability to understand fundamental business drivers and manage competing business priorities and trade-offs;
  • Engaging presentation style, strong communication and influencing skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships;
  • Ability to deal with complex situations under pressure;

Desirable Criteria:
  • Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility and usability standards including WCAG 2.0, WAI-ARIA and Semantic HTM;
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams;
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members to work collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes;
  • Knowledge of the Department's policies, systems and environments.

This role requires Australian Citizenship and Baseline clearance.
