Project Manager - Credit Cards

A leading bank seeking for a Project Manager on a 12 months contract with credit cards experience to deliver large scale strategic projects for the Consumer Finance product team.

Working closely with the project management function, the Card Delivery team have E2E responsibility for project delivery, from initiation, through to execution and closing. Current projects include the launch of new consumer card products, delivery of digital capabilities and ownership of operational optimisation of back office and front office processes.

Key requirements for the role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading large scale project delivery on initiatives with a budget of up to $10M
  • Must be outcome focussed - looking for a resilient professional with a proven track record of delivering large projects
  • Strong budget and timeline management will be critical, as high quality, on time delivery will be a minimum requirement for the role
  • This is not a technical SME role, but the successful candidate must be comfortable translating technical product requirements to audiences of varying technical capabilities
  • Must be able to maintain situational awareness over and above the project plan (see the bigger picture)
  • Must be comfortable presenting to senior leaders and keeping stakeholders up to date
  • Proven ability to drive strong communication and multiple levels
  • Flexibility will be critical, as the successful candidate may manage multiple projects

Experience required

  • Background in Business Banking and Consumer Banking is essentail
  • Experience in the credit card industry
  • Strong project management skills (PMP/Agile certification preferable)
  • Proven experience driving complex projects in a matrix environment
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate complexity into a clear path for decision makers
