Business Improvement Specialist with Six Sigma Green belt required to deliver improvement projects for large Telco n North Sydney. 6 mth contract


Business Improvement Specialist - Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum)

As part of the Projects & Performance team and broader Capability & Performance function, the Business Improvement Specialist role exists to identify and implement improvement opportunities and ensure measurable and meaningful business benefits are realised.

Reporting to the Manager, Projects & Performance, and the role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivery as well as strong negotiation and influencing skills.

As a Business Improvement Specialist, applying proven business improvement methodologies (Process Improvement / Change Management / Root Cause Analysis) to address business challenges is an expected part of the role.

Engaging directly with Managers and GM's, the incumbent will be required to support the change in processes and behaviours necessary to improve performance. This will mean analysing and synthesising complex information, facilitating workshops, tracking and reporting progress and effectively managing business change as a core deliverable of each initiative.

Essential Skills:

  • Formal certification in project management, process improvement or change management
  • Minimum Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred
  • Minimum 3- 5 years' practical experience in project delivery or process improvement using Lean Six Sigma or other improvement methodologies
  • A strong background in process improvement or project management is required (eg. Lean Six Sigma/PMP/Agile), with a proven track record of delivery in complex environments.
  • A background in telecommunications is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Experience managing complex initiatives in the Telecommunications industry or comparable business
  • Risk, issue and change management
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and process mapping
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Advanced user of MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel
