Casio Z500

When we pulled the Casio Z500 out of its box, we were instantly impressed. It looked the part, it felt the part and Casio has produced a few winners in the past, so we were expecting big things. Instead what we got was basic consumer camera that sim...

Casio EX-Z120

With cameras gaining increasing importance as a fashion accessory, the blocky models of old often won't cut it with consumers. Most Casio cameras that have entered our offices have looked suitably modern, but the Z120 an unfortunate exception. This ...

Ricoh Caplio R3

Simply put, the Ricoh Caplio R3 is one of the best Ricoh model's we've looked at recent months. One thing we love about the Ricoh R series is the sophistication and class it brings, right down to the smallest details. The R3 for example, arrived in...

Logitech G5

Logitech's G5 mouse is one of a new breed of super high precision laser mice that have begun to appear on the market. For the average user, a standard optical mouse will be more than accurate enough for everyday word processing and internet tasks; h...

Hands-on gaming

Recently we got a copy of Buzz, the Music Quiz in our offices, which is a music quiz show game on the Playstation 2. Answering questions might not seem like the most fun way to spend your recreational video game time, but Buzz offers a slight twist ...

Nikon Coolpix S2

The compact Coolpix S2 from Nikon suffers from one unfortunate flaw that makes it very difficult to recommend - it takes average photos at best. While the design is solid, it looks quite nice and was reasonably quick in most of our tests, we felt th...

Canon A620

Canon's A620 is the best entry into the Powershot series, and one of the most complete cameras we've seen. It combines incredible picture quality and full functionality into a great package that only has a few niggling flaws to let it down.

Onkyo 6.1 Home Theatre

After reviewing the excellent sounding Onkyo 5.1 surround system we were really looking forward to seeing what their 6.1 home theatre brought to the table. Unfortunately, the 6.1 system was not quite on the same level as their previous offering, wi...

JVC GZ-MG50

The JVC GZ-MG50 is one of a new breed of hard disk based digital camcorders. It was inevitable with the popularity of hard disk based mp3 players that someone would marry this technology with digital camcorders, and at the moment the only company to...

Mooove over farmers

We all know computers are slowly being integrated into almost every facet of business and production, but I bet nobody expected farmers to be some of the big beneficiaries.

Ipod Video - is it worth it?

Everyone expected it, and, following the logical progression of technology, this week Apple announced the next iteration of their iPod, the ipod Video. Coming in 30 and 60 gigabyte models and sporting a slimmer design with a longer estimated battery ...

Olympus MJU Mini

Olympus typically stick with a fairly traditional, conservative design for their digital cameras, so when we pulled the MJU Mini Digital from the box, we were pleasantly surprised to see a sleek, stylish camera with an innovative design that sets it ...

Samsung HT-P1200T

It's tough these days to bring an innovative looking product to the market. With an increasingly competitive industry and hundreds of companies all trying to make an impact, the standard designs have been done to death. So when we cracked open Samsun...

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
