A video has been posted on YouTube revealing what could be the new earphones Apple will introduce with the iPhone 5.
Vietnamese technology blog Tinhte.vn released the hands-on video late last week, claiming that, while the legitimacy of the earphones has not been confirmed, the "complete quality of this product is too high for a Chinese imitation."
"All factors such as the design, quality finishing materials fabricated wire, plastic body headphones lead to the conclusion that this is genuine and not counterfeit headphones," the blog says.
According to the website, the headset is smaller than Apple's current headphones, and is lightweight and comfortable to wear.
The original video has since been replaced with one without audio, but MacRumors has provided a translated transcript of the video that was first released.
"In my hands are the new earphones for the iPhone 5 that is about to come out," the transcript reads. "These will replace the current earphones that are on the market.
"When they are worn they have a much smaller profile," the video describes. "They have the appearance of a fully integrated single unit - there's no part that looks like it would come apartthe integrated design is characteristic of Apple products."
The video explains that the headset is being manufactured at a Foxconn factory in Vietnam.
This is not the first we've heard of Apple's plans to improve its headphones. In April, patent applications were published revealing that 'seamless unibody headphones' could be in the works at Apple.
