Following the arrival of their flagship Matebook X Pro late last year, Huawei's more-affordable premium notebook PC is now available in Australia.
“HUAWEI is committed to providing a truly seamless experience for users, and the HUAWEI MateBook 13 is a great example of this–it combines FullView display, user friendly features, a top-end processor and so much more. For Huawei, creating something that isn’t just stylish but provides such easy interconnection between smart devices and laptops is all part of the experience we’re proud to deliver” said Larking Huang, Managing Director, Huawei Australia Consumer Business Group.
Locally, the new Matebook 13 will be available in two storage/CPU/graphics configurations:
- Intel Core i5-8265U + 256GB of PCIe SSD storage + Intel UHD Graphics 620
- Intel Core i7-8565U + 512GB of PCIe SSD storage + NVIDIA GeForce MX 150 graphics
Both versions of the Huawei Matebook 13 feature a 13-inch 2K resolution LCD display, 8GB of RAM, Dolby Atmos speakers, fingerprint-sensor power button, 1-megapixel front-facing camera and a 42 Wh lithium polymer battery - which, Huawei claim, will be good for about ten hours of locally-stored FHD video playback.
Portwise, the Huawei Matebook 13 features two USB Type-C ports (neither of which is Thunderbolt and only one of which can be used for charging) plus a headphone jack.
Two colors are available: Space Gray and Mystic Sliver.
In Australia, the Huawei MateBook 13 is available for $1799 (i5) and $2199 (i7) from today via the Microsoft Store.
