The CES Files: Soundbrenner Core

While our coverage of this year's CES in Las Vegas was pretty comprehensive when it came to the big name announcements like LG's rollable OLED R TV, there was plenty of smaller, more-niche gadgets and gizmos that we didn't have time to spotlight during the show itself and got a little buried in the noise of the world's biggest consumer electronics tradeshow.

We're taking a moment to appreciate and highlight each of these products up in a new recurring feature called The CES Files, which we'll be running over the next month or so. Without any further hustle, here's the first installment.

These days, there's not a huge amount of diversity in the smartwatch and wearable market. Most of the options include fitness tracking, notification support and a varying amount of battery life. The Soundbrenner Core takes things in a different direction.

Rather than use the form-factor of a smartwatch for fitness, it opts to cater to the needs of musicians. It's a smartwatch that comes with a built in vibrating metronome, magnetic tuner and decibel meter. Soundbrenner also say the watch comes with three days of battery life, notification support and IP66 water-resistance.

The Soundbrenner Core is available for pre-order on Indiegogo with prices starting at US$179.

MSI GT76

It really doesn’t get more “gaming laptop” than this.

Jack Jeffries

MSI GS75

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.

MSI PS63

The MSI PS63 is an amazing laptop and I would definitely consider buying one in the future.
