Fujifilm has announced the launch of a medium format mirrorless digital camera, the Fujifilm GFX 50R, which features the Fujifilm G Format image sensor.
The GFX 50R is a compact, lightweight, medium format mirrorless digital camera.
It is the slimmest and lightest camera in the GFX range and is the first camera in the range to feature Bluetooth compatibility. Images can be transferred straight to smartphones and tablets via the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.
“The GFX 50R is a powerful and versatile medium format mirrorless digital camera, that builds on the successes of its 50S predecessor with a number of innovative integrations and a nostalgic design,” said Alex Zitser, National Product and Marketing Manager at Fujifilm.
The GFX 50R features a rangefinder style design and the X-Processor image processing engine. Fujifilm’s Film Simulation modes allows users to opt for the tonality of photographic films such as Velvia, Provia and Acros.
“Fujifilm is proud to bring to the Australian market a camera that combines new and innovative technologies with features reminiscent of renowned medium format film cameras. The GFX 50R is something professional and enthusiast photographers alike can appreciate and enjoy,” added Zitser.
The GFX 50R will be available from late November for $7,099.
