Garmin announces vívosmart 4

Garmin has announced the vívosmart 4, a smart activity tracker that introduces a wrist-based pulse ox sensor.

The vívosmart 4 also features a Body Battery energy monitor that estimates the body’s energy reserves, letting users know the optimal time for activity and rest.

“Sleep quality plays a critical role in your overall physical health,” said Adam Howarth, General Manager Garmin Australasia.

“Poor sleep quality may contribute to the development of significant chronic conditions. With its slim design, the vívosmart 4 is comfortable to wear at night and pulse ox provides customers with information they can use to improve their health.”

Garmin’s new advanced sleep monitoring estimates light, deep and REM stages of sleep, along with movement throughout the night. Users can check their sleep stats in the Garmin Connect mobile app.

The vívosmart 4 comes pre-loaded with a newly redesigned Elevate wrist-based heart rate sensor, abnormal heart rate alerts, VO2 max and activities for walks, runs, strength training, pool swims, yoga and more

Users can also check the weather, control music, receive smart notifications with vibration alerts, “find your phone”, access social media notifications and even reply to texts with preset messages.

The vívosmart 4 is available in Grey and Rose Gold, Berry and Gold, Azure Blue and Silver, and Black and Slate for $199

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
