Hellblade to get VR port

Ninja Theory have announced that their popular and critically acclaimed action game Hellblade will be coming to VR this week.

From July 31st, a VR-enhanced version of the game will be availble to owners of both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets.

Unfortunately, PSVR owners look to have been left in the lurch on this one - which isn't surprising given that the move comes about a month or so after Microsoft announced it was purchasing Ninja Theory to bolster its first-party console games lineup.

We came away quite impressed with Hellblade when it first released, eventually highlighting as our game of the year in our 2017 Editors' Choice awards.

In our original review, we said that "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice looks, sounds and feels like the stuff of wicked nightmares but is worth experiencing all the same."

Ninja Theory have confirmed on Twitter that Steam users who already own the original Hellblade will receive a copy of the new VR version for free.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice VR will be available on the Oculus Store, HTC Vive Store and Steam from July 31st.

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
