Otterbox has expanded its focus from outdoor-ready smartphone cases to include customisable coolers and tumblers, expanding its Australian range.
“I started OtterBox in 1998 as an outdoor brand, and we’re refocusing our efforts here in a big way. Our new coolers deliver on the OtterBox commitment to innovation, quality and our customers” said founder Curt Richardson.
From the today, the company is now selling a diverse range of outdoor coolers and tumblers to Australian customers. Previously, these were available in overseas markets but not locally.
The Venture Cooler features 2-inch thick refrigeration-grade insulation foam and a modular accessories system, allowing users to pick and choose from outfitting the cooler with dry storage tray, bear-resistant locks, secure tie-down kits, cutting boards, double-cup holders and even a side table.
The Venture Cooler is available in three sizes: 25quart ($399.99), 45 quart ($499.99) & 65 quart ($579.99).
Then, the more carry-friendly Trooper Cooler incorporates "premium-grade thermal insulation" and comes IP65 rated against water and splash damage. Like the Venture Cooler, the Tooper also features a modular mounting system which allows for attachment of accessories including a bottle opener or easy to access dryboxes.
The Trooper is available in two variants, both of which promise keep ice for at least 3 days.
Ottebox say the Trooper 30 ($449.99) offers the "ultimate convenience" with padded carrying straps that easily convert between backpack and shoulder carry styles. Meanwhile, the Trooper 20 is priced at $399.99 and features a flip top lid.
Last but not least, Otterbox's range of stainless steel Elevation Tumblers boast internal copper linings and an easy seal snap lid. The Elevation 20 is also compatible with a modular lid system with additional French Press Lid, Shaker Lid or Thermal Cup Lids available.
The range comes in three sizes: 10oz ($39.99), 20oz ($44.99) and 64oz ($99.99). Each is available in both stainless steel and a range of four colors.
