Fetch TV launch new BBC Living channel

Fetch TV and BBC Studios have announced the launch of a new lifestyle channel, BBC Living.

The channel will join 5 other BBC channels on the Fetch platform - BBC First, BBC Knowledge, BBC UKTV, BBC CBeebies and BBC World News.

“The BBC is the home of some of the world’s best lifestyle programming,” said Scott Larson, CEO of Fetch TV. “We are delighted to expand our partnership with BBC Studios with the introduction of this exciting new channel - BBC Living. Once again, our subscribers are the big winners, as Fetch adds more quality programming to our industry leading $6 ‘skinny packs’. If you love the BBC, there is no better service for you than Fetch.”

From May 1, BBC Living will be available in the Fetch Knowledge Pack (18 Channels for $6 p/m) and the Ultimate Pack (50 Channels for $20 p/m). It will also be added to the grandfathered Fetch Entertainment Pack.

Bringing audiences an aspirational mix of vibrant and exciting British lifestyle content centred around food, home and good living, BBC Living will be programmed exclusively for the Australian market. Featuring celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsey, Raymond Blanc, Hairy Bikers, and Gary Rhodes together with shows like Come Dine With Me, Fantasy Homes By The Sea, Marbella Mansions, Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover and Home Away From Home, the new channel will bring viewers some of the UK’s best-loved programmes, offering a wealth of inspiration for home, family and life.

“We are delighted to announce that we are launching BBC Living to Australian viewers,” said Jon Penn, Managing Director of BBC Studios in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to reach new audiences for our diverse catalogue of content and brands and I’m pleased to be partnering with Fetch TV to launch this new service on their growing platform.”

With the recent addition of BBC Living and Discovery Channel, the 18 channel Fetch Knowledge Pack now offers documentary channels (Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, and BBC Knowledge), lifestyle programming (BBC Living, HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel), and a host of 24/7 News for leading new organisations (CNN, BBC World News, CNBC, Bloomberg, Euro News, France 24, Al Jazeera, Channel News Asia, NDTV and CGTN) for $6 per month.
