CES 2018: Everything Announced By ASUS

ASUS' presence at this year's CES was located at a venue away from the maelstrom of the show floor but the wealthy range of new product being shown here made it a destination worth finding the time to visit.

Here's what they brought to this year's largest consumer electronics tradeshow.

Zenbook 13

What is it?

The company's latest professional-alluring Zenbook. Arriving equipped with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a lightning-fast 1TB PCIe SSD, ASUS say it promises to help discerning users "rediscover true freedom."

What’s exciting about it?

Aside from the beefy specs, the Zenbook 13 also looks like it'll strike a strong chord with users looking for a laptop that manages to look and feel good without won't be a burden to carry. The Zenbook 13's all-metal chassis is as light as they come at 985g and ASUS say a full charge will last you 15-hours.

On some level, this might just be another Zenbook but - regardless - it's quickly shaping up to be one of ASUS' best yet.

When will it be available?

2018.

How much will it cost?

Pricing is TBA but expect it to sit towards the premium side of things as per the Zenbook branding.

Has Australian availability been confirmed yet?

We've reached out to confirm Australian availability with ASUS but, based on conversations we had with them at CES, it seems probably.

ASUS X507

Vivo AiO V272

What is it?

An all-in-one PC that comes powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. It's also got an integrated 27-inch 27-inch multitouch curved display with a wider 100% sRGB color gamut.

What’s exciting about it?

As well as the specs and gleefully minimalist form-factor, the Vivo AiO also touts a ASUS SonicMaster audio system with its bass-reflex speakers. These promise to pair up nicely with the unit's display and offer a wholly immersive entertainment experience.

Other Tidbits

Our time at the ASUS booth at CES 2018 focused mostly on the products that are likely to come to the Australian market. However, there was a lot of other, more radical items we also got a glimpse of - including a router/smart speaker hybrid, ASUS' latest mesh-networking kit, a portable OLED monitor and some of their latest ROG gear. It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
