VR fairytale game Luna due for Oct 17 release

VR Games developer Funomena has announced that its next VR adventure Luna will be available to players on the 17th of October.

"We are so thrilled to finally be releasing Luna this week. In designing this title, we wanted to make sure it was accessible to a broad range of players - regardless of their level of experience with virtual reality. We believe that as VR, AR and MR technology develops, more and more people are able experience just how magical and immersive games can be," said Funomena CEO Robin Hunicke.

Funomena describe the game as a magical fable about restoring life to a beautiful fairy-tale world. They say players will be able to plant, cultivate, and play musical flora in miniature terrariums inspired by nature, meet animal friends and restore the lost moon.

According to Hunicke, a former-member of ThatGameCompany who worked on the critically-acclaimed Journey, "we want to be there to welcome these new players, giving them an experience that is beautiful, soothing and engaging. We hope everyone out there enjoys this experience as much as we enjoyed creating it!"

The game will also feature a soundtrack by award-winning composer Austin Wintory, who also composed the score for Journey.

Luna will be available through the Steam, Windows and Oculus online storefronts from the 17th of October.

A non-VR version will also be coming to the PC on November the 21st.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
