MSI's new Ryzen-ready motherboard coming to Oz

MSI has confirmed that their new X399 SLI PLUS motherboard will be getting Australian availability.

"Perfect for content creators who are looking for a great performer with plenty of connectivity options, MSI’s new X399 SLI PLUS is an optimized workstation motherboard, built for designers. Featuring heavy plated heatsinks, Military Class V components and numerous unique and patented performance enhancing features, this motherboard is the best choice for professionals looking for speed and stability," the company said in a press release.

The big sell for the X399 SLI PLUS is that it's compatible with AMD's Ryzen Threadripper processors.

However, there's a bevy of feature and ports besides that. It's got eight SATA3 slots, 8 USB 3.1 ports, four PCIe 3.0 slots, two PCIe 2.0 slots, a single Intel-controlled Gigabit Ethernet port, a suite of audio outputs and both Type-A and Type-C USB 3.1 Gen2 ports.

Memory-wise, it also boasts support for up to 8 DIMMs running Quad Channel DDR4 RAM. It's also been designed for easy overclocking and RGB customization via MSI' Mystic Light software.

The new MSI X399 SLI Plus motherboard is will be available through MSI's channel partners sometime in the near future. Unfortunately, the company haven't provided specifics, nor have they provided an RRP.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
