Star Wars Battlefront 2: Game released on April 15

The game is among the most anticipated this year

It's official, Battlefront 2 is coming, and the game will be revealed at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida, on 15 April. The game, which is one of the most anticipated games of 2017 is the sequel to the immensely popular Battlefront. Here's what we know so far about Star Wars Battlefront II including rumours about its release date.

When is Battlefront 2 coming out?

In June last year, EA confirmed at the E3 show that EA Motive, which is a subsidiary of the gaming giant, is working on a sequel to the ever popular Battlefront. If you haven't already played it you can now buy Battlefront for just ÂŁ16.

There's no exact release date yet, but a launch has been promised for Christmas 2017. Blake Jorgensen, EA's Chief Financial Officer said, "We'll most likely have one Star Wars title a year for the next three to four years."

This is great news for fans and Visceral Games, DICE, Capital Games, BioWare, Motive and more are all working on Star Wars projects at the moment.

Christmas seems ages away, so if you're after a Star Wars fix and you have a PS VR, be sure to get the X-wing VR Mission which is a free download for Battlefront on the PS4. Rogue One, of course, is the most recent Star Wars film, and the VR DLC is a tie-in.

Whether or not Battlefront 2 will have a tie-in with the next Star Wars film remains unknown, but we fully expect it to. A Christmas launch means it will be out at the same time as The Last Jedi - Episode VIII.

What will Battlefront 2 be like?

Yes. Currently it's all under wraps, but we'll know a lot more when EA unveils the trailer during the "The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II" panel at this year's Star Wars Celebration event in the US. This will -- handily -- be streamed online for everyone to watch.

At the event, developers DICE, Criterion and Motive will offer a first look at the game so until then, you'll have to remain patient.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
