Vodafone stocks budget HTC One flagship and Microsoft Lumia 640 duo

Goes after light users with Internet savvy smartphones

Vodafone is adding three 4G smartphones to its introductory plans in an effort to drive Internet traffic on its network.

The HTC One M8s and Microsoft’s Lumia 640XL go on sale today, while the Lumia 640 will be stocked later this month.

The One M8s is identical to HTC’s former flagship on the outside; it’s the Internal hardware that separates the two smartphones.

Changes include a Snapdragon 615 processor, which combines a 1GHz quad-core CPU with another 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, a larger 2840 milliamp-hour battery and a higher resolution 13 megapixel rear camera.

Vodafone is selling the One M8s at $10 per month on a $30 plan over 24 months. It offers an allowance of $300 of credit and 300MB of data every month.

Joining the One M8s are the first two smartphones to don Microsoft’s branding, the Lumia 640 and 640XL.

These smartphones run on Windows Phone 8.1 and will be upgraded to Windows 10 for phones when it is released later this year.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
