Google Nexus 9 on sale today at Telstra for $479

Be quick: stock limited to a handful of retail stores

The Google commissioned and HTC made Nexus 9 tablet goes on sale today at select Telstra stores in the lead up to Christmas.

Telstra is selling the Wi-Fi variant for $479. It joins the carrier’s existing range, which includes the Samsung Galaxy Tab S ($599) and the recently launched Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact ($499).

Australians can buy the tablet online; however, buying them from a retail store will be restricted to just a few outlets.

Telstra will expand availability to more stores on 9 December. Alternatively it can be purchased from Google’s online Play store with an expected shipping time of 1-2 days.
