Virgin Mobile unveils new iPhone pricing but there's no iPhone 5s stock at all

Virgin Mobile currently has no online stock of the new iPhone 5s

Virgin Mobile has announced Australian pricing and plan details for Apple's new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c smartphones, but the telco currently has no online stock of any iPhone 5s model at launch.

Virgin Mobile will sell both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c on a total of six plans each, starting from a new entry level $30 plan, ranging up to a $140 per month plan that offers unlimited calls and 6GB of data.

However, Virgin Mobile currently has no stock available of any iPhone 5s model online, despite the phone only going on sale at 8am today. A message on the telco's Web site confirms the stock shortage.

"Unfortunately, the iPhone 5s 16GB Silver is currently out of stock but as they say, good things come to those who wait. We continue to receive additional stock deliveries and we encourage you to check back soon."

The out of stock message appears on every iPhone 5s model on Virgin's Web site, including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants in all available colours.

While no stock of the iPhone 5s is available online, a Virgin Mobile spokesperson told GoodGearGuide the company still has stock available in selected stores, and encourages buyers to phone their particular store to check on the availability of specific iPhone models.

The iPhone 5c is available for order now online and stock is also available in Virgin Mobile stores.

The cheapest iPhone 5s 16GB model will cost $21 per month on Virgin Mobile's $30 plan, a total cost of $51 per month, while the cheapest iPhone 5c costs $16 per month on the same plan, a total cost of $46 per month.

Virgin Mobile customers will have to pay a monthly handset repayment on most plans barring the 16GB iPhone 5s and 5c on the $90 and $140 plans, the 32GB and 64GB variants of the iPhone 5s on the $140 plan, and the 32GB iPhone 5c variant on the $90 and $140 plans.

Below is a table of all Virgin Mobile plans available for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. The colours represent the plan cost for the listed model where appropriate, and are as follows:

Green = entry level (cheapest) plan
Yellow = low plan
Blue = medium level plan
Orange = medium-high level plan
Black = large plan Red = high level (most expensive) plan

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

I’d happily recommend this touchscreen laptop and Windows 10 as a great way to get serious work done at a desk or on the road.

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
