According to the site, the new tablet is codenamed "Roma" and is expected to have similar specifications to the Samsung built but Google-branded Nexus 10, which launched late in 2012.

The rumours suggest the Samsung Roma tablet will essentially be a variant of the Nexus 10 running the company's TouchWIZ user interface on top of the standard Android interface.

The Nexus 10 is manufactured by Samsung but as it's a Google branded device, it runs stock Jelly Bean 4.2 software. It's also distributed through Google's online store rather than traditional bricks and mortar retailers.

The Samsung Roma tablet is expected to include a microSD card slot for memory expansion along with 4G connectivity, neither of which are available on the Nexus 10.

Other listed features of the as yet unannounced tablet include a 10.1in touchscreen with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels (299ppi), a 1.7 GHz dual-core Exynos 5 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The Samsung Roma is also expected to include a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, and will be powered by a 9000mAh battery.
