At the Galaxy S4 launch event in New York, Samsung confirmed the smartphone's release date as 26 April. However, at the London leg of the Galaxy S4 World Tour, Samsung said the European release date is now 27 April. See also: Samsung Galaxy S4: details, what you need to know.

This move includes the UK and to be precise, the Galaxy S4 will go on sale across Europe at 10am on 27 April. Samsung gave no reasoning as to why it's a day later than other markets such as the US.

As well as a new release date, Samsung announced that Galaxy S4 owners will get an exclusive version of EA's Need For Speed Most Wanted. The first 100,000 downloads via the Samsung Hub will be free of charge. See also: Galaxy S4 new software features.

We also got a glimpse of the Galaxy Mega, Samsung's 6.3in whopper which it announced last week.

"We are delighted to have exclusive branded Samsung content in a triple A game from one of the world's foremost video game publishers. We have also secured further partnerships that deliver on our promise to open up the world of possibilities to our customers," said Lee Epting, Vice President of Media Solution Centre Europe for Samsung Europe.

These further partnerships include Michelin which will launch Michelin Traffic and Michelin Restaurants apps. Others include Gameloft, Glu, Goodbeans and Random House Mondadori.

We spent some time playing with the Galaxy S4 at last night's event so look out for our hands-on review later today.
