Fariko Impact has been crowned world champion at the Call of Duty Championship finals held in Hollywood.

After progressing through three days of multiplayer competition against 30 other professional four-player teams, Fariko Impact faced EnVyUs in the finals match-up.

Fariko Impact, consisting of team captain Chris “Parasite” Duarte, Damon “Karma” Barlow, Adam “Killa” Sloss, and Marcus “MiRx,” came out as the winner, earning US$400,000 of the tournament’s total $1 million prize pool.

Runners up EnVyUs took home $200,000 and third place team OpTic Gaming received $120,000.

The remainder of the prize purse was distributed among the other top eight teams.

Both Australian teams at the event, Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports, were knocked out before reaching the upper bracket tier.
