Aussie Galaxy S4 to come with Snapdragon 600 processor?

Samsung is likely to produce two models of the Galaxy S4 with different processors

The Australian model of Samsung's Galaxy S4 Android phone will be powered by a Qualcomm manufactured Snapdragon 600 processor rather than Samsung's own Exynos 5410 Octa chip, according to US blog SAMMobile.

The blog claims that Samsung will produce two versions of the Galaxy S4 to suit multiple, global markets. The GT-I9500 model of the Galaxy S4 will use the Samsung's own 1.6GHz Exynos processor while the GT-I9505 will use a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 chip.

The GT-I9500 model of the Galaxy S4 doesn't support LTE, whereas the Snapdragon 600 chip includes category 3 LTE support. This covers the 1800MHz 4G band used in Australia by Telstra, Optus and in the near future, Vodafone.

SAMmobile doesn't cite a source for the model availability news, but has published a list of which Galaxy S4 model will be sold in particular markets.

Most African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries appear to be getting the GT-I9500 model of the Galaxy S4, while the LTE-enabled GT-9505 model is set to launch in many European countries.

Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Phillipines, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the UK are listed countries where both versions of the Galaxy S4 will be sold, according to SAMmobile.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
