HP has announced that its upcoming Slate 7 Android tablet will sell for less than Google's popular Nexus 7 when it launches in Australia.

Announced earlier this week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona, Spain, the HP Slate 7 is a 7in Android tablet targeted squarely at consumers. It will sell for $199 when it becomes available in Australia sometime in April, the company has confirmed.

The tablet marks HP's return to the market after a long hiatus and the ill-fated, webOS-based TouchPad. HP sensationally abandoned that product less than a week after it launched in Australia back in 2011.

The HP Slate 7 will come with Beats Audio integration and has a stainless-steel frame in grey or red variants. The tablet is powered by an 1.6GHz ARM dual-core processor, has 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of internal memory.

Other features include a microSD card for memory expansion, along with a front-facing VGA camera for video calls and a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera for photos and videos.

The HP Slate 7 will initially ship with an almost stock, vanilla version of Google's Android 4.1 'Jelly Bean' OS.

The HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printer is a great device that fits perfectly into my fast paced and mobile lifestyle. My first impression of the printer itself was how incredibly compact and sleek the device was.

Wireless printing from my iPhone was also a handy feature, the whole experience was quick and seamless with no setup requirements - accessed through the default iOS printing menu options.

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
