Australian manufacturer and online retailer Kogan has today unveiled two new budget Android tablets, both running the 4.1 Jelly Bean version of Google's Android operating system.

The new Kogan Agora Mini 8 and Agora 10in tablets both come with dual core processors and are available in 8GB and 16GB variants. Prices start at $119 and $179, respectively, along with a standard $19 delivery charge to most Australian locations.

Both new Agora tablets feature capacitive touchscreens with a resolution of 1024x768, come with a mini-HDMI port for connecting the device to a high definition television, have a microSD card slot to expand the built-in memory, and include a full-sized USB port.

The Agora Mini 8 has a front-facing VGA camera but no rear-facing camera while the larger 10in model comes with a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Kogan's founder and CEO, Ruslan Kogan, said customer feedback from previous Android tablets indicated the devices could have used a speed boost.

"Our previous 10" tablets were a huge success, selling out multiple production runs within days. But there’s always room for improvement."

"People told us they thought the design was great, loved the price, but that they could’ve been just that bit snappier.

"We’ve been able to keep a slim, lightweight, design and retail all the features people want in tablets."

The new Agora tablets have 4300mAh and 8000mAh batteries, respectively, while Kogan says that the included 1GB of RAM and 1.6GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor should provide enough grunt to run most third-party apps without issue.

Kogan sold a 10in Agora tablet back in May last year, but the company exhausted its initial stock allocation in less than four days.

Both the and the Agora 10in Android tablets are available to order now with immediate shipping.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
