Telstra has announced Australian pricing for Nokia's hotly anticipated Lumia 920 Windows Phone but the device isn't expected to officially be available until the "end of November".

The telco announced today that the Nokia Lumia 920 will be available for $5 per month on Telstra's $60 Every Day Connect Plan over 24 months. The plan includes $600 worth of calls and MMS, unlimited text messages to Australian numbers and 1GB of data per month.

Additionally, the Lumia 920 is $0 upfront on Telstra's $80, $100 and $130 Every Day Connect Plans, all over 24 months.

Despite the pricing announcement, Telstra hasn't yet opened pre-orders for the Lumia 920 and says the device will be available sometime in "late November". A Telstra spokesperson told PC World Australia the telco "expects to commence pre-orders next week."

Telstra says interested customers can register their details online to be notified when Lumia 920 pre-orders will commence.

“We expect the Nokia Lumia 920 to launch at the end of November and we will be making it available in a range of colours that, combined with a polycarbonate design and rounded surfaces, sets it apart in the smartphone market," said Telstra's mobile director Andrew Volard.

First unveiled in September in New York, Nokia is banking on the Lumia 920 to turn around its flagging fortunes in the high-end smartphone market. The device will be among the first phones to run the latest version of Microsoft's mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8, which was officially launched today in Sydney.

The Lumia 920 has a 4.5in display with a 720p resolution, boasts a number of camera features including a new optical image stabilisation system and has a built-in wireless charging system.

Telstra confirmed the Nokia Lumia 920 will be available from in black, white, red and yellow colour variants.
