Boasting extra large buttons, a clear display with large characters and compatibility with hearing aids, the Doro PhoneEasy 615 is a flip phone specifically designed for older users. The handset also claims to have an extra loud a speaker in order to cater for users with hearing difficulties.

"There is a vast seniors market in Australia and we're confident this handset will resonate well with our older customers," said Gavin Williams, head of segment marketing at Optus.

"Doro's mobile phone range and in particular, the Doro PhoneEasy 615 handset, specifically adapts today's must-have technologies to make them easier for elderly Australians to use."

Other features of the Doro PhoneEasy 615 include a basic 3.2 megapixel camera with zoom and LED flash, a security button that can contact up to five pre-assigned contacts simultaneously when pressed and a charging cradle. The phone is also compatible with M3/T3 or higher hearing aids.

The Doro PhoneEasy 615 will sell through almost 300 Optus retail stores, 170 Big W stores and 370 Dick Smith (DSE) stores across the country. The partnership marks the first time a Doro phone has sold through a major carrier, with Doro's previous PhoneEasy 410s selling exclusively through Telechoice retail stores.

The Doro PhoneEasy 615 is available now for $165 outright.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
