Every week at PC World, we are aiming to bring you a smartphone or tablet app of the week, based on the lovely recommendations by our senior editorial staff. We are including all platforms here, from iOS, to Android, and even smaller platforms like BlackBerry and webOS.

This week's app of the week goes to Google+ for iPhone, which enables iPhone users to access Google's newest social networking service.

The Google+ iPhone app is still clearly a work in progress — it only works with iOS 3.1 or higher versions, and currently does not support any beta version of iOS 5. Given that this is beta software, we expect the final version of iOS 5 to play nicely with Google + when it eventually gets released later this year. Strangely, the app is currently not available for the iPad or the iPod Touch, either, though again, this is likely to be on its way in the near future.

Google+ for iPhone is both intuitive and clean, much like the regular browser version. After logging in, you can access your profile, your stream, your photos, your circles and start a huddle, which is basically Google's fancy name for chat with other Google+ users.

The stream can be navigated with a horizontal swipe gesture, which scrolls through incoming, circles and nearby — the latter uses the iPhone's GPS to locate nearby Google+ users. The app also allows you to upload photos taken with the iPhone camera, and this can be done either one by one, or in batch mode where you can upload all the photos on your iPhone at once.

We also like how the app can filter your stream based on circles, along with the fact that push notifications come standard.

Google+ is available in the App Store now for free.

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.

The MSI PS63 is an amazing laptop and I would definitely consider buying one in the future.

I’d recommend a Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 and the new Windows 10 to anyone who needs to get serious work done (before you kick back on your couch with your favourite Netflix show.)
