Toshiba's latest Qosmio X770 to offer high-end specs and will cater to demanding users, including gamers.
Toshiba has today launched its latest 17.3in Qosmio desktop replacement notebook, the X770. It's designed to be a multimedia powerhouse with support for 3D video, Blu-ray playback and high-end gaming.
In a press release today, Toshiba's Anthony Geronimo said that the Qosmio X770 is "engineered for extreme gaming with the power, performance and style to win any contest" and that "it can deliver a truly immersive gameplay experience for consumers". It should be able to live up to these lofty expectations considering its high-end configuration.
The X770 will be powered by a Second Generation Intel Core i7 quad-core CPU, 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics card with 1.5GB of RAM, Optimus switching technology and 3D VISION. The new Qosmio X770 will also feature a hybrid hard drive/SSD and will have up to 1.25TB of storage space via a two drive configuration.
It will have a recommended retail price of $2699 in Australia, although a similar model in the US costs $1899.
