HTC's HD7 is coming soon to Telstra

Telstra is set to launch the Windows Phone 7-powered HTC HD7 smartphone in Australia next month.

Read our comprehensive HTC HD7 smartphone review and check out our guide to the best Windows Phone 7 mobiles.

Initially launched in the US and other markets in October last year, the HTC HD7 will be coming to Telstra, possibly as as early as next month, following an invitation sent to the media for a "briefing and product demonstration" of the device on Wednesday, 23 March. The HTC HD7 will be the second Windows Phone 7 smartphone sold by Telstra, sitting alongside the HTC 7 Mozart, and is likely to be an exclusive.

The HTC HD7 is undoubtedly the hero smartphone in the Windows Phone 7 range thanks to its extra large 4.3in capacitive touchscreen, pitting itself against HTC's own Android-based Desire HD. The HTC HD7 also boasts 16GB of internal memory, and includes a convenient, flip-out kickstand on the rear, allowing users to comfortably watch multimedia content.
