Canon EOS 1100D SLR as 'effortless as a point-and-shoot'

New Canon EOS 1100D digital SLR camera said to be as easy to use as a compact camera

Canon has just launched the EOS 1100D: an entry-level digital SLR camera that Canon claims is as easy to use as a point-and-shoot camera. This ease of use will stem from new Basic feature, which will allow users to adjust settings based on easy-to-understand language rather than technical terms, and it will also feature a built-in Feature Guide mode.

The 1100D will have a 12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and Canon's DIG!C 4 image processor. It will have a 2.7in LCD screen without a variable-angle hinge and it will shoot video at up to 1280x720p.

Pricing for the EOS 1100D has not been announced yet, but it will sit in Canon's range between the EOS 1000D and the EOS 550D. It will be available from late March in various kits as well as in body-only form.

Available kits:

Single Kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III)
Single IS Kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II)
Twin Kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III and EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III)
Twin IS Kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II and EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS)

MSI GS75

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
