According to research by the comparison website, seven percent revealed they'd hit their console with an object. In fact, on respondent said he'd used a bat to vent his frustrations. However, 91 percent said after their 'episode' they immediately regretted taking their frustrations out on their controller.

Over half (51 percent) of gamers admitted to getting angry while playing games. Furthermore, 11 percent said they suffered from 'computer rage syndrome' (CRS).

Nearly a third (32 percent) claimed they had thrown a controller during a game, with 10 percent of these admitting they threw it with such force it broke.

Furthermore, 11 percent have fallen out with a friend while playing computer games and 14 percent said they get angry when a computer character 'didn't do what they wanted it to do'.

"I'm pretty certain that if anyone has ever played a computer game before they will know how frustrating it can quite often be when something isn't going your way," said Mark Pearson, chairman of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk.

"While it might seem like a good idea at the time to lash out at your console, it is probably best to take a deep breath before making any rash decisions."

MSI GT75 TITAN

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

MSI GS65 Stealth Thin

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
