AOC claims to have released world's thinnest LCD monitor

AOC Razor is only 12.9mm thick

Display technology manufacturer AOC has released what it believes is the world's thinnest LCD monitor, named 'Razor'.

The Razor series includes 18.5in, 20in, 21.5in and 23in monitors that are all 12.9mm thick. This trumps Taiwanese company BenQ's V Series monitors, which are 15mm thick.

The Razor has LED backlighting and features 'e-Saver' technology, which AOC says can be used set the monitor to a low-power state when the PC is running a screen saver, switched off, or otherwise idle. Users wanting to wall-mount the screen can do so via the base, which will retain the ability to tilt the screen.

Pricing for the Razor series starts at $189 for the 18.5in Razor, while the 20in, 21.5in and 23in models cost $199, $229 and $269 respectively. They are all available now, with details on the AOC Web site.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
