Dodo launches 3TB ADSL2+ plan, commits to 'unlimited' NBN services

3TB offer to compete with rival 1TB plans

Dodo yesterday launched a three terabyte ADSL2+ broadband plan with no peak/off-peak split.

According to a Dodo press release, the 3TB plan is "a timely demonstration of Dodo's firm commitment to service delivery as the country prepares for the roll out of the NBN". Dodo "has committed to offering unlimited data services over the NBN".

Other ISPs have recently launched a range of 1TB data plans.

Dodo's 3TB plan has a base price of $39.85 per month. However, the plan must be bundled with a Dodo home phone line, starting from $29.90 per month with no included call credit. You can choose from no fixed contract term, which will carry a $99 setup fee, or sign a 12 ($69 setup fee) or 24 (no setup fee) month contract. The price only applies to metro areas.

"We are the only provider to offer a national unshaped ADSL2+ unlimited plan, and the release of our new ADSL 2+ 3TB plan simply highlights just how far in front Dodo is when compared to the hype of its competitors' 1TB plans," Dodo CEO Larry Kestelman said.

"We are the only provider to do so and were the first to offer an unlimited ADSL plan. There's no need for consumers to worry about peak and off-peak limits if they wish to use a substantial amount of data. Dodo can offer this protection through its new unlimited and 3TB plans."

In August the ISP launched an unlimited broadband plan, which costs 5c more per month.

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
