Telstra revamps business broadband plans

Telstra claims new business broadband plans are 'simpler, faster and better value'

Telstra has reduced excess usage charges on its business broadband plans and increased the speed of connections where possible. Excess data charges have been halved and now capped at $400 per month. Other customers who have eligible Telstra Business fixed line or voice service contracts will also receive monthly price cuts, which range from $10 to $30 dollars.

"We understand how important fast, consistent, business-grade broadband is for small business, which is why we've updated Telstra Business Broadband plans to make them simpler and better value," said Telstra's Business Executive Director, Brian Harcourt. "Nine out of 10 Australian small businesses now regard broadband as an integral part of their day-to-day business, to communicate with customers and suppliers and for buying and selling online."

Telstra also launched an online calculator in conjunction with Workforce Guardian, one of its T-Suite software partners. The calculator, available at www.workforceguardian.com.au/tsuite allows SMBs to see if they comply with the new Fair Work Act.

"Determining whether your business meets the definition of a 'small business' under the Fair Work Act is crucial to understanding your responsibilities as an employer, as the definition of a small business for unfair dismissal purposes is a business with fewer than 15 full-time equivalent employees," said Workforce Guardian Managing Director, Adrienne Unkovich. "The new calculator will help you do exactly that in under 10 minutes."

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
