Square bring FFVIII to PSP/PS3, Vagrant Story next?

Square's classic RPG now available on the PlayStation Store

FF:VIII is now available on the PlayStation Store.

In last night's PlayStation Store update, it was revealed that the classic RPG Final Fantasy VIII has landed on the service. Rumors point to a PSN release for another one of their classic RPGs very soon.

Last night, Sony's PlayStation Blog revealed its weekly new releases. While several important items were released, like the PSN game Puzzlegeddon and nine downloadable games for the PSP (seven previously UMD-only games, and two PSP minis), the most unexpected and welcome announcement was that the PS1 classic role-playing game Final Fantasy VIII is now available for $10, as long as you have 1.78 GB of space available on your system of choice--why can't they have four separate files like they did for the discs is beyond me. As a PS1 Classic, it can be played on both the PSP and PS3, and you can transfer saves between the two systems.

That might not be the only PSN RPG love Square-Enix provides this holiday season. With the game receiving a European release on the PlayStation store next Tuesday according to Destructoid, a US release could happen within days or weeks. The European price translates to a hair over $8.50, so US consumers shouldn't be paying a cent over $10 if all is right in the world.

Anyone planning on purchasing either of these games? If I can find my 35+ hour save from Final Fantasy VIII and transfer it to my PSP & PS3, I may pick up that game on PSN and finally finish the game once and for all.

The HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printer is a great device that fits perfectly into my fast paced and mobile lifestyle. My first impression of the printer itself was how incredibly compact and sleek the device was.

Wireless printing from my iPhone was also a handy feature, the whole experience was quick and seamless with no setup requirements - accessed through the default iOS printing menu options.

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
