<p>Good afternoon,</p>
<p>Here is the December Phishing Report from Symantec: http://eval.symantec.com/mktginfo/enterprise/other_resources/b-state_of_phishing_report_12-2009.en-us.pdf . This report reviews phishing activity throughout the month of November.</p>
<p>A close observation of phishing tactics in Asia Pacific this past month revealed some interesting highlights:</p>
<p>• Symantec observed a six percent decrease in phishing attacks when compared to October.</p>
<p>• The number of phishing URLs generated using automated phishing toolkits was 25 percent, a decrease of 24 percent from the previous month.</p>
<p>• There was a 26 percent decrease in non-English phishing sites.</p>
<p>• More than 122 web hosting services were used in November, accounting for 10 percent of all phishing attacks. This is an increase of 16 percent of total web hosted URLs when compared to October.</p>
