Nintendo announced a new game today at a retailer conference in Japan, releasing box art and the first details on what fans can expect in 2010.
The Wii title promises free online co-op play with more than 300 customizable weapons. Originally announced as Dynamic Zan the game will now go under the monicker Zangeki no Reginliev. Zangeki no Reginliev is being developed by the team at Sandlot, who are best known for their work on giant mecha games like Earth Defense Force 2017.
Reginliev appears to be a third-person shooter set in a mythological setting, and the game may be the first CERO D (roughly equivalent to North America's Mature ESRB rating) title published by Nintendo. The game hits Japanese shelves on February 11 of next year, but without the cultural cachet of a known franchise this mature title seems even less likely to reach Western shores.
