At Microsoft's GamesCom press conference, it was confirmed that Fable III will be heading to the Xbox 360 with a host of new features. Lionhead's Creative Director Peter Molynuex was around to give a few words about the new project.
"We've spent a lot of time at Lionhead thinking about how we can innovate the gameplay and progress the world of the 'Fable' games for its third chapter, and we're confident that players won't second-guess what we have planned for 'Fable III.'"
Fable III will follow the player on a quest to become the king (or queen) of Fable's mystical land of Albion, and promises to bring back the moral choices that shaped the previous two Fable games.
It was also announced that Fable II, the single best selling RPG on the Xbox 360, would be seeing an interesting new approach to its release. Starting on September 29th, Microsoft will be releasing Fable II episodically via Xbox LIVE through "Fable II: Game Episodes." The first Fable II Game Episode will feature the protagonist growing from childhood to adulthood, and will then continue in four other consecutive installments.
