Facebook is arguably the king of social networking sites after dethroning MySpace. But will it be challenged by Twitter?

There was a time when Facebook was cool. It was the up and comer, taking it to MySpace and arguably doing a much better job at connecting people.

Now, well, its part of the vernacular. It’s a site that is commonplace for anyone that is anyone.

But it’s still a hugely popular site and a bane to many managers because of the time employees spend updating their status, uploading photos and generally doing what people do on social networks.

And you know a site like Facebook has become ingrained in a generation, when the largest media corporations around the world – including CNN and BBC – run stories about a user backlash to aesthetic changes.

Votes are in -- Facebook gets new governing rules The votes are in and the initial tally shows that Facebook Inc. users want a new set of governing documents.

What Facebook vote? An early morning blog post by Facebook's Ted Ullyot has noted the preliminary results of the site governance vote. About 3/4 chose the new Facebook Principles and Statement of Rights and Responsibilities over the existing terms of use, he says.
