NComputing Appoints Leader Computers as Distributor in Australia

 • 13 January, 2009 13:30

Partnership to offer new opportunities in the Australian market

Sydney, Australia – January 13 , 2008
- NComputing, the leading provider of ultra low-cost computing appliances today
announced that it has appointed Leader Computers Pty Ltd as its second distributor
in Australia. The partnership is expected to open new avenues for growth for both
parties.

“Leader is one of Australia’s largest locally-owned PC manufacturers
and there’s undeniably a strong synergy between NComputing’s technology
and Leader’s current product portfolio. We’re confident that the partnership
will compliment and expand our existing channel network,” said John Robinson,
country manager (Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands) of NComputing.

“We are delighted to be appointed national distributor for NComputing. NComputing
desktop virtualization products allow resellers to offer computing solutions that
result in the lowest possible cost for computing access to their customers. Leader
will release pre-configured Leader PCs with NComputing solutions that will make
it simple and highly profitable for resellers to on-sell,” said Theo Kristoris,
director of Leader Computers.

The NComputing solution is based on a simple fact: today’s PCs are so powerful
that the vast majority of applications only use a small fraction of the computer’s
capacity. NComputing technology creates multiple virtual desktops from a single
PC so that many users can tap the unused capacity and share it as if each person
had their own computer. Each access device uses just one to five watts of electricity,
compared to 110 for a stand-alone PC, making NComputing the greenest computing
solution on earth. More than one million NComputing seats have been deployed by
20,000 organizations in more than 100 countries.
